Why I Love the Rally Room! ~2007

April of Texas

Happiness, excitement and encouragement are contagious! The mood in the Rally Room is so uplifting and encouraging… when I feel down, all I have to do is log on and check out what is going on and I feel so much better, about whatever is bothering me

I have made so many friends on the RR… everyone has different levels of expertise at something, from working out to dieting to kids! We all have at least one thing in common (the desire to look and feel our best no matter our age), and everyone is willing to share experiences they have had from food to supplements to exercise, willing to help out with slumps or other problems, and always willing to give constructive criticism, or just be there when you need an ear!

When I began at the RR, I was still a little unsure of how things were progressing with my body, but Michelle and everyone else always have words of encouragement, be it “I see your hips have gotten smaller!” to “Your hair looks awesome!” there is always something they see in my blog or photos that always boosts my spirits.

Since joining, my successes have been incredible! I have been quite a bit better about my eating habits, my workout habits, and even the way I approach people! In the past, I never paid much attention to what I ate, or how I looked in public. After joining the Rally Room, my outlook really changed from reading the other ladies’ blogs. They are so inspiring! I now watch what I eat, to teach my children how to eat properly (not so much sugary food) and pay attention to how I look so I am more approachable and I represent my family better!

Instead of seeing fitness itself as a chore, I now see it as an opportunity… an opportunity for time for myself, for me to look and feel better about myself (not as much low self-esteem as often) and to show my children that it is important to be fit, no matter who you are, what your age, or what you do!

I have never had as much encouragement from anyone as I get at the RR… I feel as though everyone truly cares about what I am doing and let me know as much as humanly possible that they do care and are there for me!

The most helpful information for me at this point is reading everyone’s workouts… I am still a relative “newbie” to any sort of working out, and reading about the workouts, reps, and weight amounts and Michelle’s How-To Videos have explained a few things for me, as well, since I wouldn’t know a knee-up from a Smith Machine! Though there are some things I still am not sure about, I know I will be able to find the answers when I am ready to ask them at the Rally Room!
